YP Board Patio Party & Cornhole Tournament: Good Weather Makes For Good Time!
On Sunday, April 29, 2018 the newly formed C4K Young Professionals Board held their first fundraising event: a patio party & cornhole tournament on The Jones Assembly Patio! The event raised a total of over $13,000 for C4K's programming, which will help us impact thousands of young athletes this summer.
The event drew roughly 350 Oklahomans to the popular restaurant and bar to celebrate the end of the Memorial Marathon, the coming of Spring, and the power of sports in the lives of children.
Libations were provided by Bitter Sisters Brewery and dancing tunes by DJ Carte Blanche, with many attendees dancing to everything from funk to Fleetwood Mac. Attendees enjoyed activities like a craft beer pull, where they could try their luck at nabbing limited edition six packs from Stonecloud Brewery and Dogfish Head.
There was also an incredibly popular raffle (raising over $600 alone!) including some amazing donations from local businesses like On A Whim, Cycle Bar, The Press/The Mule, Top Golf, Fuzzy's Taco Shop, OKC Thunder, Energy FC, OKC Dodgers, and much more!
The Cornhole Tournament brought roughly 48 teams to compete - a record number that made for an exciting single elimination tournament on lanes of play named after Aerospace Reports, Bitter Sisters Brewery, Mustang Fuel, and Rock Island Exploration. Winners of the tournament, Preston Wray and Travis Wolfe, were awarded a newly released YETI Cooler courtesy of Metro Shoe Warehouse filled with wine donated by The Jones Assembly.
A HUGE Thank you to the entire YP Board, all our donors, and everyone who attended the event! We'll see you NEXT YEAR!
