Varsity Board Meets Miss Oklahoma 2019
The C4K Varsity Board plays a huge role in our mission of equipping and empowering kids. As a group they create opportunities for sports-related community service while showing other kids the importance of giving back to the community. Last night, the group heard a fantastic presentation by Miss Oklahoma 2019, Addison Price. Addison is a fabulous leader and told the group all about her journey as Miss Oklahoma, including how she found her voice.
Her advice? "Empowerment comes from using your voice to help others."
Addison has a podcast called "Living Visible" where she "chats with extraordinary leaders from across the nation to discuss invisible obstacles - the aspects of life that hold us back that others seldom notice such as dyslexia, discrimination and self doubt." Check out those episodes here.
We are so thankful to Addison for taking the time out of her VERY busy schedule to speak to our group. The board also took time to write letters to people who have influenced their leadership journey!
