Millwood Grad and Pro Football Player Cameron Batson Hosts Free Camp at Millwood
C4K was honored to partner with Millwood Athletics and Tennessee Titans Wide Receiver Cameron Batson on their FREE football camp held this summer. Cameron was a member of the Millwood High School class of 2014. He played football and was also named valedictorian of his class! Cameron is also the first alum to host a football camp for his alma mater.
The "Move Those Chains" camp was held on July 10, 2021 at Millwood and helped players ages 8 to 13 learn important techniques as well as how to be the best version of themselves off the field. "The emphasis of the 'Move Those Chains' camp is to develop positive character traits in the youth of OKC through the game of football," Millwood Athletic Director Shannon Hayes said, "Batson will strive to build confidence and self-esteem while also promoting team-oriented values. He will encourage positive participation with challenges involving all aspects of being a football player including ... respect, coach-ability, positive communication & good teamwork."
Our team knows that sports can change the lives of kids and thought Cameron's idea sounded perfect! We wanted to find a way to support this awesome camp and were able to provide each camper with a drawstring bag to help carry their gear.
A huge thank you to Cameron Batson for caring for his community and giving kids the chance to learn from a pro! We would also like to thank Millwood for being an incredible partner who helps us make a strong impact on Oklahoma youth!
