Darius Bazley Ensures a Happy Holiday for Hundreds of Oklahoma Kids!
C4K loves any opportunity to partner with professional athletes in our own backyard! C4K’s latest community partner is Thunder small forward Darius Bazley! Bazley chose to partner with C4K and the team from New Balance, where he formerly interned before joining the NBA, for the holidays this year.
Darius and New Balance’s donation of over 350 pairs of running shoes are already making a difference in the lives of kids across Oklahoma! We’ve met kids from the Hope Centers at St. Luke’s UMC and Lilyfield, Lee Elementary, the Spero Project, City Center and the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club in Shawnee. These kids now have brand new shoes so they can get active and play the sports they love.
Thanks to the generosity of people like Darius, C4K has been able to equip over 100,000 kids since our founding in 2011. It’s truly amazing to see the smiles and hear the cheers from kids when they learn that the shoes in their hands are theirs to keep!
